    Maybe behaviour by design;
    Previous version loaded NOAA "prt" files int slot 2 and got updated slider but grib did not display.

    Now get the updated slider but also grib displays in full. Still seems to calc route ok in QT...although lost a few places since update but probably my fault 😁

    I loaded AGL23.1.6 works fine

    But the map flickers

    So I loaded the 1880 tile patch, map still flickers

    Anyone else have this issue?

    @kipper, I'm running a Dell Laptop, Open GL on, WIndows 10

    Just upgraded to AGL23 and all seemed well until after starting and setting user/password, the Apply function does nothing and following error appears in cmd window

    Even after his passing, from 600+nm in arrears, he looks assured of a finish in top 40.

    I am sure he could not have asked for a better memorial!

    Since new version 4.5.3 the following appears in cmd line. AGL still seems to function ok so as it says "warning only"

    Hi,

    Adobe have announced they will not continue support of the ubiquitous Flash Player in 2020.

    As this is a key feature of SOL in Chrome and I guess Firefox, IE etc. Do the admins have any thoughts on how to continue to deliver this great application in the future?

    Have just joined the club and trying the phone app.

    Seems to display position and data OK (not very mobile friendly with tiny login buttons etc but...).

    Trouble is I can't send updates; I choose a CC or TWA value and hit send. It appears to register in that the button "clicks" but no course change ever happens.

    Any ideas?

Whatever about pharaoh Necho II’s Phoenician expedition of the 7th C BCE, the Carthaginian Hanno the Navigator with more certainty sailed south from Tangier to explore the West African coast two centuries later, but how far he got is a matter of more conjecture. However, if he did the 2300nm to today’s Ivory Coast he would have found little there other than good shelter in the vast lagoons behind the dunes, much the same as today, excepting the highly industrialized port of Abidjan. Not a great haven for a stop-over but let’s take the 90ft Monohull anyway.

This is a TIMED race, so you may RE-REGISTER HERE to try again, after finishing a run. You will have 13 days and 11 hours to test your skill and decision making after the race opens.

Melbourne Osaka Cup Double-Handed Yacht Race 2025

Welcome once again to what these days is Sailonline’s almost annual virtual Melbourne to Osaka Yacht Race. In real life, this double-handed 5500 nm race between these two sister cities, one deep in the southern hemisphere, the other high in the northern hemisphere, is run every four to five years, and this year is such a year. So, this year’s online version is in sync with the Melbourne Osaka Cup 2025 organised by the Ocean Racing Club of Victoria (ORCV), and the Sandringham (SYC) and Osaka Hokko (OHYC) yacht clubs. We’ll be racing the well-known First 40, a popular size of boat which should be a good match for many of the boats entered in the real race. With the doldrums unavoidably lying across our course, you can expect to be at virtual sea for at least a month!
