I'm very glad I had the opportunity to race Bimmer many times and must compliment him again for his last victory at La Rochelle. Flawlessly sailed!
My condolences to family and friends.
    RIP my friend.

Amêijoas à Bolhão Pato (Clams Bolhão Pato style)

    Ingredients

-1kg clams (ruditapes decussatus - see image). This the best variety (I think is the same as italian vongole veraci) but the recipe can be made with other varieties.
-8/10 garlic cloves slightly crushed and unpeeled
    -a bunch of coriander leaves
    -100ml olive oil
    -lemon juice
    -black pepper
-White wheat bread to dip in the sauce while eating (see photo)

This a a delicious and very easy recipe invented by Mr. Bolhão Pato, a portuguese ultra-romantic writer that lived in the second half of the 19th century.

Soak the clams in water seasoned with salt for 1 to 2 hours. Wash them under running water before cooking.
Put the olive oil, the crushed garlic and the coriander leaves in a frying pan and saute over low heat for about 2 to 3 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add the clams, stir, cover the pan with a lid and cook over medium heat until the clams open completely. Shake the pan from time to time.
Turn off the heat, season with the lemon juice and serve.

Don't forget to dip the bread in the delicious sauce while eating

I would certainly enjoy racing again the Meddle Sea race (aka Valetta Sprint in SOL). Please consider adding it to the calendar.

    Excellent app!

On my iphone, to enter a course, it doesn't allow me to input the decimal point. The numeric keypad that shows to input a course has a comma and not a point.

The density of wind barbs with the high resolution wx makes the screen too crowded.

It is very sad news to know that my fellow countryman and good friend, João Malafaia, is no longer among us.
My condolences to his family. Rest in Peace.

    Dear João,

I think we have to find a 3rd portuguese sailor to have a chance in this ranking. We must convince some friends of ours.

The finish line of this race has a point over land. I think that this should be corrected.

Round Greenland 2024

Just as Skip Novak was embarking for Kamchatsky, Amyr Klink also quietly slipped his Antarctica moorings and by now Paratii 2 has reached Reykjavik, where he invites you to join him on Leg 5 of our High Latitudes Series, a full 3650nm circumnavigation of Greenland. The course is clockwise round, so down the North Atlantic to Cape Farewell, then up the Davis Strait into Baffin Bay and on into the Arctic Ocean proper, where, hopefully and certainly virtually, Paratii 2’s special ice-breaker features will get us thorough the summer ice out onto the Greenland Sea and back to Reykjavik. Stay warm!
