	I gave up on BWR many months ago when gribs from brainaid would not load. Has anyone else experienced this? I tried again today and these are the error messages from BWR: grib: grib_seek C:/Program Files (x86)/bluewater/races/Christmas/weather-263-global-gfs-20161203_1026.grb: Only read 7816 out of 17640 bytes for EntireMsg (offs=1040760) grib: missing vector data for UGRD, period 29, deleting sequence grib: Postprocessing failure for sequence 33 (parameter 1988196324) grib: C:/Program Files (x86)/bluewater/races/Christmas/weather-263-global-gfs-20161203-1026.grb: No usable records found I have the current version of BWR v.1.87 I'm happy using QtVLm but thought I'd give BWR another try. 	BWR-adepts if you are sailing SWR 17/18 Leg 4 - Melbourne to Hong Kong do not forget to uncheck the part of the weather that is beyond the 180! If you do not do that then BWR tells you it can not reach the end-point. Even much easier is to cut the download grib to 179. 	BWR users If you cross the 180 from west to east and you are using autogribloader as source then the gps-position will be on the right side of the chart. And there you can not use it for routing purposes. If you use brainaids NMEA proxy as source then the GPS-position will be put on the left side of the chart where it can be used for routing. The grib delivered by AutoGribLoader neither works in BWR. Here I use the grib delivered by Brainaids Toolbox too. --- Last Edited by sol at 2018-03-16 17:17:06 ---

Round Greenland 2024

Just as Skip Novak was embarking for Kamchatsky, Amyr Klink also quietly slipped his Antarctica moorings and by now Paratii 2 has reached Reykjavik, where he invites you to join him on Leg 5 of our High Latitudes Series, a full 3650nm circumnavigation of Greenland. The course is clockwise round, so down the North Atlantic to Cape Farewell, then up the Davis Strait into Baffin Bay and on into the Arctic Ocean proper, where, hopefully and certainly virtually, Paratii 2’s special ice-breaker features will get us thorough the summer ice out onto the Greenland Sea and back to Reykjavik. Stay warm!

San Francisco to Ushuaia 2024

After a superlong RTW-leg3 (27 days), we have had a month to recover, and maintain our boat, in order to continue our around the world race. Leg 4, even longer than the previous, takes us from California to the world's southernmost city Ushuaia. No waypoints, even "the Ditch" is an option, but maybe a bit too much of a treat. With 6300 nm to go, the estimated duration of this race 29 days. This course is also the August edition of our ocean race championship.
