You used excel to fill in the values.
You saved the file as a csv file.
(Your)Excel uses by default , as field separator. (can be different per country!)
You should use ; as field separator.

find attached your file now with ; separator.
Should work.

Lacsareno

suggestion:
save your excel file as (MS-DOS) CSV

suggestion 2:
Open your polar.csv file in your favourite TEXT editor and search/replace , with ;
Then save.

God afternoon all.

Since one of the last qT revisions the "B" command disappeared.

Pity, because it was very useful.
Hope it can be implemented again.

Sail Fair.
It will, but that is gonna be Alt-B

In the mean time clicking on the microboard upper label does the same.
Viva Philippe

Good morning.

Thank you for info.
Yes, it works as the former "B" command.

Hi maitai.

Is there anyway to view/unview the new weather slider?
Thanks guys for any help

PROBLEM

I defined pathway out of POIs

Start routing following pathway.

first question : in other Routing programs (SAilgrib eg) i can define whether to leave mark port or starboard. Not in QTVLM ?

second question :

The route is conversed out of the routing and the boat is traveling

when I now start a new routing DESPIT I activate start from boat AND use pathway the new routing and route always goes back through teh first POI

Do I really have to delete it once left to re route ?

THAMKS !!
@bimmer

uncheck
qtvlm><grib><gribdrawingconfig>display grib time slider
(clicking the windbag is shorter to uncheck this option)

Thank you Lacsareno :-)
Hi maitai,

In version 5.8-2 I miss the little dot showing where the boat "should be" on a route when you hit the blue Now button.

I also miss the small sound qtVlm gave when it was finish calculating the steps in routing.

Thanks,
SKOVSER
Is anyone else experiencing this? In the Gray Whale race qt is acting differently. After a routing is created, the simplify/optimize functions do not appear to be working but finish instantly and the final route seems different than the original routing. Also, all the poi's are added to the Marks list. I don't think I made any changes to the settings or configuration.

Thanks,
Phil

Current Races:

Africa by Sea - Tangier to Abidjan

Whatever about pharaoh Necho II’s Phoenician expedition of the 7th C BCE, the Carthaginian Hanno the Navigator with more certainty sailed south from Tangier to explore the West African coast two centuries later, but how far he got is a matter of more conjecture. However, if he did the 2300nm to today’s Ivory Coast he would have found little there other than good shelter in the vast lagoons behind the dunes, much the same as today, excepting the highly industrialized port of Abidjan. Not a great haven for a stop-over but let’s take the 90ft Monohull anyway.

Melbourne Osaka Cup Double-Handed Yacht Race 2025

Welcome once again to what these days is Sailonline’s almost annual virtual Melbourne to Osaka Yacht Race. In real life, this double-handed 5500 nm race between these two sister cities, one deep in the southern hemisphere, the other high in the northern hemisphere, is run every four to five years, and this year is such a year. So, this year’s online version is in sync with the Melbourne Osaka Cup 2025 organised by the Ocean Racing Club of Victoria (ORCV), and the Sandringham (SYC) and Osaka Hokko (OHYC) yacht clubs. We’ll be racing the well-known First 40, a popular size of boat which should be a good match for many of the boats entered in the real race. With the doldrums unavoidably lying across our course, you can expect to be at virtual sea for at least a month!
